Ecoponic was born from a desire to reconnect people with nature—especially in today’s fast-paced, urban world. Our founders, passionate about sustainability and craftsmanship, saw a unique opportunity to combine the timeless beauty of artisanal pottery with the convenience of cutting-edge technology.

The journey began in Summer 2022 in a college apartment, where 2 engineering students.With limited space and a packed schedule, they wanted to grow their own herbs and vegetables but quickly realized the challenges of urban gardening. Determined to make it work, they decided to build a fully automated hydroponic system to grow basil—one of the simplest yet most rewarding plants.

As engineering students, they saw an opportunity to merge their passion for technology with the growing demand for sustainable living. They envisioned a system that made indoor gardening not only easy but also beautiful and environmentally conscious.

From that point, the real challenge began. For months, they worked tirelessly, navigating countless trials and errors, refining every detail of the design. Each setback was met with renewed determination, whether it was fine-tuning the automation or ensuring the materials were eco-friendly. They didn’t just stop at making the system functional—they constantly pushed to innovate, striving to create something that was not only technologically advanced but also aesthetically pleasing.
